Privacy policy
This notice describes how the personal data of those who visit this website, create an account or purchase a service are processed, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Data collected
The website does not profile visitors and uses no analytics or advertising tools. Personal data are collected only when you provide them:
- Quote form — name, company, email, phone, service of interest, timeline and project description. The form sends nothing to a server: it opens your email program with the message already filled in, which leaves from your address and arrives at the studio's mailbox.
- Account — name, company, e-mail, optional telephone number and any request to receive news. They are used to create the account, to give you access to prices and to the client area and, if you ask, to send you news. The password is stored only in encrypted form and cannot be read even by the studio.
- Client area — the data you enter in your profile (billing details, address, photo and location, both optional), your favourite services, jobs with their updates and messages, and booked meetings and site visits. The location is used only to calculate the cost of a site visit; to find the address on the map the browser queries OpenStreetMap, only when you press the dedicated button.
- Price request for a proven service — the chosen service and options, the details for the offer (addressee, VAT number or tax code, address) and notes. They are used to prepare the pro forma invoice and, if you decide to go ahead, to perform the contract.
- Subscription to the calculation tools — subscription status, dates, amount, number of uses and the subscription code at Stripe or PayPal. Card or account details are received only by Stripe and PayPal, which process them as independent controllers: the website neither sees nor stores them.
- Automatic e-mails — the welcome message on registration, the pro forma invoice and job updates are sent from the studio mailbox, managed by the domain provider (TopHost), which processes your name, your address and the text of the message.
- Protection against abuse — to limit spam and automated attempts, registration, login, price requests and payments keep an encrypted, non-reversible fingerprint of the IP address for a maximum of 24 hours; the address itself is not stored.
- Chat assistant — the answers are prepared in the page, in your browser: what you write in the chat is neither sent to the studio nor stored.
- Direct contact — the data contained in the emails and phone calls we exchange.
Purposes and legal basis
Data are processed to answer requests, prepare quotations, manage the account and subscriptions and perform the professional relationship. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures requested by the data subject, as well as tax and accounting obligations; sending news is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Retention
Account data are kept as long as the account is active and are deleted when you ask for it to be deleted. Correspondence about requests not followed by an assignment is kept for the time needed to assess them and in any case no longer than twenty-four months. Data relating to assignments, payments and subscriptions are kept for the periods required by tax and civil law.
Providers and disclosure to third parties
Data are neither transferred nor sold. They are processed on behalf of the studio, as data processors, by the providers of technical services: Cloudflare (publication of the website and its functions), Neon (database), TopHost (domain and e-mail, including automatic e-mails). Stripe and PayPal process payment data as independent controllers. The shaft fatigue verification tool downloads its graphics libraries from jsDelivr. Some of these providers are based in the United States: the transfer takes place with the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision or the standard contractual clauses. Data may also be disclosed to professionals and authorities where required by law.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data at any time, or object to processing, by writing to info@ranieritech.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Confidentiality of projects
Drawings, models, specifications and production data received as part of an engagement are treated as the client's confidential information. They are not published, shown in a portfolio or shared with third parties without written authorisation. On request, a non-disclosure agreement is signed before any document is exchanged.
