Description

For non-electrical equipment intended for ATEX areas, EN ISO 80079-36 requires an ignition hazard assessment: every possible source (hot surfaces, mechanically generated sparks, static electricity) is analysed in normal operation and in foreseeable malfunctions.

  • Assessment in normal operation, expected malfunction and rare malfunction
  • Protection measures and category that can be achieved
  • Temperature class and proposed marking
