Description

VDI 2230 defines step by step the calculation of a bolted joint: stiffnesses, load factor, preload losses due to embedding, tightening torque and checks of the bolt and the surfaces.

What it includes

  • Minimum and maximum preload, tightening torque
  • Yield, fatigue and slip check
  • Bearing pressure under head and nut
