Description

EN 13979-1 sets the load cases, the calculation method and the stress limits for the technical approval of a monobloc wheel: the mechanical verification is entirely defined by the standard and by the axle load.

What it includes

  • FEM model of the wheel from the 3D model supplied
  • Load cases on straight track, in curves and over switches
  • Dynamic stress range in the web and comparison with the limits of the standard
  • Calculation report for the approval dossier

What we need from you

  • 3D model or dimensioned drawing of the wheel
  • Maximum axle load
  • Wheel steel grade (e.g. ER7)

Data is sent after the order confirmation, by email or with a sharing link. On request we sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving the files.

Within 10 working days of receiving payment and all the required data; with the urgent option the time is halved.
