Description

A biomass generator is a thermal and a mechanical problem at the same time: chamber and exchanger must deliver the declared output, hopper and screw must feed without bridging or flame back-burn, and EN 303-5 imposes construction and safety requirements that have to be built into the design, not added afterwards. The service reaches the production drawings with the documentation already set up for the type test. The scope is a machine with up to 12 sub-assemblies and 80 manufacturing drawings.

What it includes

  • Heat balance, sizing of the chamber and of the exchange surface
  • Design of the hopper and of the feeding screw, with the fuel outlet angle
  • Sizing of the combustion air and draught check to EN 13384-1
  • Incorporation of the construction and safety requirements of EN 303-5, including protection against flame back-burn
  • Design of the water-side circuit and of the safety devices to EN 12828
  • 3D modelling of generator, sub-assemblies and parts
  • Manufacturing and assembly drawings, bill of materials with commercial codes
  • Preliminary risk analysis to EN ISO 12100
  • One revision cycle after the client's review
